Our Team

  • Logan Danker - Co-Executive Director

Logan Danker is studying International and Public Affairs and History at Brown University. As a first-generation and low-income college student, Logan has seen firsthand how communities lack the socioeconomic support and political representation necessary to achieve economic equality, racial justice, gender equality, and social well-being. As a result, he developed a passion for protecting voting rights, increasing public office accessibility, and breaking down economic barriers historically marginalized and low-income communities face. Working with various governmental agencies and non-profits, Logan worked to improve mechanisms that allocate economic resources and political representation through direct community engagement. As an intern with US Senator Chris Van Hollen, Logan helped develop a legal resource guide of free/low-cost practitioners to improve constituents’ access to legal counsel.

On campus, Logan works as a policy research assistant exploring voting rights legislation across the United States to provide quantitative insights into the racial and economic implications of restrictive voting rights legislation. Logan is also passionate about legal studies, serving as Managing Editor of the Brown Undergraduate Law Review. After earning his bachelor’s degree, Logan intends to pursue a JD to solidify his understanding of the law and inform his policy advocacy.

  • Susanna Yim - Co-Executive Director

Susanna Yim is a first-generation Cambodian-Chinese American. Her parents lived through a genocide in Cambodia called the Khmer Rouge, a political tragedy that had a strong presence in her life. After reckoning with the intergenerational trauma she inherited, the privileges she had, all of which her family members did not, instilled a sense of agency to act upon them. To exercise her right to question, challenge and take action. To become an advocate within her community, which led her to organize with the Sunrise Movement. To educate others about environmental justice issues. To help progressive candidates get elected into office. A journey that led her on a path to pursue a law degree to continue her advocacy as a lawyer.

Susanna deeply cares about making political engagement accessible as she recognizes the difficulties in understanding the ways in which our political systems function. She has a passion to be in the community and build collective power through educating, mobilizing, and fighting for a world that works for — not just a few — but for all of us.
